60-MINUTE VIDEO CALL

Book a Personal 1-on-1 Photography Session with Me and Get Unstuck — For Good

Got a question about your camera, editing, or gear? Let’s jump on a video call and figure it out together. No scripts, no fluff, just honest answers from someone who’s been exactly where you are.

60-minute personal video call. Available spots are limited.

Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

When I started learning photography, I was completely overwhelmed.

Too many tutorials, too much conflicting advice, and no clear idea where to actually begin. Manual mode felt intimidating. I didn’t know if I needed a better camera or just better technique. I’d spend hours editing and still couldn’t get the look I was after. Every answer seemed to lead to five more questions.

Nobody told me it didn’t have to be that hard.

Sound familiar?

This is my son Nikita - the reason I became a photographer. Every technique I learned, I learned trying to capture moments like this one.

You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone

I spent months figuring all of this out on my own, through bad shots, wasted money on gear I didn’t need, and more confusing tutorials than I care to count.

But here’s what I know now that I wish someone had told me at the start: most of it doesn’t have to take that long. The fundamentals of photography are not complicated. What makes it feel complicated is not having someone to cut through the noise and just tell you what actually matters for your situation.

That’s exactly what this session is. Sixty minutes, one-on-one, completely focused on you. No generic advice, no unnecessary theory – just clear, honest answers to the specific questions that are holding you back right now.

One conversation can save you months of going in circles.

What We Can Cover Together

This is your session; you set the agenda. Here are the most common topics people bring:

Camera & Shooting – Understanding your camera settings (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), shooting in manual mode, getting sharp photos of moving kids, low light photography, and composition basics.

Photo Editing Lightroom editing workflow, color grading, skin tones, before/after photo reviews, building your own editing style, and Photoshop for retouching and background fixes.

Gear & Buying Decisions – Which camera body suits your goals and budget, lens recommendations, mirrorless vs DSLR, accessories that are actually worth it, and ones that aren’t.

Photo of a Fujifilm X100V mirrorless camera with retro looking design. How camera design affects your photography learning success.

Photo Review – Share your recent photos, and I’ll give you honest, constructive feedback on what’s working and what to improve.

Anything else photography-related. Seriously, if it’s about photography, bring it.

Not Bad for Someone Who Never Studied Photography

Everything you see here was taken and edited by me, a self-taught photographer with a genuine love for capturing everyday moments. No formal training, just practice, passion, and a lot of trial and error.

How It Works

Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Alex, a self-taught photographer, dad, and the creator of OhMyCamera. I picked up a camera when my son Nikita was born, just wanting to capture our everyday life. That simple decision changed everything. This session is built from that same love, for family, for memory, for the little moments that mean the most.

If our session runs over, I’ll do my best to accommodate. If you want a follow-up session, you can simply book again at the same rate.
