My Story — From New Dad to Photographer

When my son Nikita was born in 2018, I felt something I couldn’t explain. A mix of awe, love, fear — and the overwhelming desire to freeze time.

That’s when I bought a camera. I didn’t know how to use it. I didn’t even know if I’d stick with it. But I knew one thing: I didn’t want to forget the way his tiny hands looked wrapped around my finger.

2018: One of the first photos I took of my son Nikita after he was born!

I taught myself photography from scratch. YouTube videos. Books. Lots of trial and error. I carried that camera everywhere — on walks, trips, lazy afternoons at home. And slowly, frame by frame, I got better.

Not just at photography. At noticing the moments that matter. The ones that pass by quietly but mean everything.

Why I’m Making This Course?

I’ve never forgotten how it felt to take those early photos. The wonder. The frustration. The quiet joy of finally capturing something real.

That’s why I’m making this course. Not to teach you how to become a photographer. But to help you notice, and preserve, the small, extraordinary moments that make up your family’s story.

Because your kids won’t remember every detail. But one day, they’ll look at these photos and feel it.

This course is in the making — and you can be one of the first to get access.

I’m currently building it and plan to launch by the end of July 2025. If you join now, you’ll get the full course for just $29 — instead of the final price of $149.

This special pre-sale price is available for a limited time.

It’s your chance to join early, shape the course with your input, and save big.

Because early trust deserves real reward.

Just Imagine…

Imagine being able to freeze time, not with your phone, but with intention. You walk into your child’s room, see a moment unfolding, the soft light from the window, their curious eyes, their tiny hands at play, and you know exactly how to capture it.

You lift your camera with confidence. You don’t panic about settings. You’re not just taking a photo, you’re telling a story.

Picture your family albums filled with images that actually feel like your family. Not stiff poses or awkward smiles, but real moments: the bedtime giggles, the pancake mornings, the quiet cuddles, the wild joy.

Now imagine your child flipping through those photos years from now, smiling, remembering, feeling seen and loved through the lens you learned to use.

That’s what this course is about. Not perfection. Not fancy equipment. Just the ability to notice, feel, and capture the moments that matter most.

Let’s make that possible, together.

Course Curriculum

This course is still in development — and your input is welcome.

Below is a draft version of the course curriculum. As I continue working on it, some parts may change or improve to make the course even more helpful.

If there’s something specific you’d love to learn, feel free to reach out and let me know. I’d love to hear your ideas — your suggestions could help shape a course that empowers parents all over the world to take better, more meaningful family photos.

A Message to Fellow Parents

You don’t need to be a photographer. You just need to care.

One day, your child will ask, “What was I like when I was little?”

And you’ll open a folder, or a an album, and show them. Not staged moments. Real ones. The ones that say, “This was our life. And it was beautiful.”

Let me help you capture it!

Your Instructor

Hi, I’m Alex, a self-taught photographer, dad, and the creator of OhMyCamera. I picked up a camera when my son was born, just wanting to capture our everyday life. That simple decision changed everything. This course is built from that same love, for family, for memory, for the little moments that mean the most.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once I receive 10 pre-orders, I’ll begin working on the course immediately. I estimate it will take around 1 month to complete. If I don’t reach 10 pre-orders within 2 months, I’ll issue a full refund to everyone who supported the project.

Having a camera is definitely a bonus. While you can watch the course and apply the concepts with just a phone, I do recommend using a camera if you have one. The course will be helpful for both — but in general, a camera will give you more control and flexibility.

Yes. Absolutely. You don’t need to know anything about photography. This course is made for parents who want to learn from scratch, no jargon, no overwhelm.

The final version will likely include 60–90 minutes of short, focused video lessons, and exercies that you can take at your own pace.

If you’re not satisfied for any reason, you’ll get a full refund, no questions asked.

Yes, definitely! If you know a new parent or someone who’d love this, you can pre-order on their behalf. Just drop me a note after you purchase.
